About this course
The Bachelor of Information Technology will help students achieve a comprehensive understanding of information technology in technical and business management areas. You'll develop applications, frameworks, products and services for growing areas such as analytics and cyber security. You will also learn how business problems can be solved by applying a range of technological and programming concepts and tools, and how to effectively communicate these solutions to diverse stakeholders. Additionally, you will be taught how to safeguard data and information, create and manage databases and ensure the ethical handling of business information. Every IT student at KBS is eligible for free membership of the Australian Computer Society: IT subject codes begin with the letters TEC. All other subject codes refer to Business electives. Course Learning Outcomes Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Information Technology at Kaplan Business School will learn how to: Identify business opportunities by applying a range of technological and programming concepts and tools Report technological problems, solutions and outcomes to diverse stakeholders clearly and effectively Explain how business problems can be solved with the aid of technological methods and tools Apply an exploratory, technical and global mindset when solving business problems Apply ethical, privacy and information security frameworks regarding technology Create technological and programmatic solutions based on current real-world case studies
